Benji Madden Drops $1 Million On a Woodchuck's Dream Home

Media_httpllmediatmzc_ylhyu

"Good Charlotte" guitarist Benji Madden is NOT a tree's best friend -- he just dropped $1.1 million on a cool new bungalow in L.A. -- that's practically covered, floor-to-ceiling, in dead trees.

Benji -- not to be confused with his twin brother Joel Madden -- scored the 2,183-square-foot pad in the Hollywood Hills back in February ... after it sat on the market for 192 days.

The 3-bedroom, 3-bath house is nice -- but one thing stands out for sure ... WOOD IS EVERYWHERE.

There are hardwood floors, hardwood ceilings, hardwood beams, hardwood cabinets, hardwood dressers and even wood framed doors.

It also sits on a 25,000 square-foot-lot near a canyon, surrounded by lush vegetation and plenty of trees ...

...which should totally watch their backs.
