Since camping and nature retreats are becoming an increasingly popular hobby and the recipe for quick getaways, there is a demand for spaces which are versatile in nature and also provide safety and comfort of a home. Of course, we are quick to point out the ultra-luxurious examples like the Series 2 International 684 Airstream caravan, and the Sleath Defiant one but for the toned down versatile version, the Sealander Amphibious might be the perfect choice. This mini-caravan is light weight, looks decent and can be used even in water which the luxurious larger versions may not be.
The Sealander is a white 2-wheeled carry-along accommodation which can be attached to the back of your car with the help of the steel attaché, which is a multi-purpose fixture in itself. With the 380 Kg weight, it doesn’t require much effort when carried along by a car, and is of a fairly compact size too. Once detached from your vehicle, there is the front glass door which opens on the up and the steel attaché which doubles up as a stand and staircase through which you enter in. On entering the caravan, you could find a bed and makeshift table on either side, along with drawers at one corner. The windows are in the form of glass panels on either side, which are ideal for viewing the beauty of nature outside. They also provide the flexibility of using blinds in case you need more privacy. Due to the unique shape of this carry-along wagon, it can float well in water. Hence after detachment; there isn’t a problem of pushing the carrier in the water and getting scared of being drowned! If on land, the advantages are even more because then setting the scene for a barbeque on the camping trip is an easy option.
So, next time you plan a vacation and demand a comfortable space while being on the move, the Sealander is perhaps what you could look at for its distinctively ‘amphibious’ nature.
