Then & Now: What Changed In America Since 1983?

It’s been 30 years since 1983. That means that those of us born before 1983 are over 30. Youth is fleeting;-)

If you were around in the 1980′s then you’ll enjoy this graphic that takes a look at the ways life has changed in the last 30 years.

Life in America: 1983 vs. Today

In 1983, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi was making a splash at the box office. And The Police’s, Every Breath You Take was number one on the singles charts. Computers still didn’t have hard drives and most families didn’t even own one.

Compare that today with The Avengers being the highest grossing movie of the last year (we certainly live in an era of comic book movies). The Lumineers, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars are at the top of the charts. And our computers have become these little devices called smartphones that we carry around and use every waking moment of the day.
